Description
This dog kennel was designed by the Swiss designer in the 1960s for the Eternit Group. In 1951, the Eternity AG company sought to collaborate with external creators and asked Willy Guhl and his students to work on new plant containers. Eternit, developed for roofing and pipes, is a stable product with a fibrous texture that is resistant to tension, breakage, and weather variations, containing 10% asbestos. Asbestos, known since ancient times, was being reutilized in an innovative way by the industry at that time. According to Guhl, "no construction material used in such a fine manner provides as much stability as Eternit." Unique in its rounded shape, it consists of a small entrance, all resting on a removable rectangular base. It is covered with gray paint. Original model, with a patina that has developed over time and use.
