Description
This floor lamp was designed by the Italian designer Mario Botta for Artemide in Italy in the 80s. Well known in its table lamp version with its "Shogun" model, the "Shogun Terra" is less common. The Japanese inspiration is very present in this luminaire. In fact, the term "Shogun" refers to a general in ancient Japan. Moreover, Mario Botta was inspired by the armor and helmets of samurais to design this model. This floor lamp is also part of the Memphis group vein of the 80's in Italy. The base of the stand is made of cast iron. The body is made of cylindrical-shaped white lacquered metal, with black and white stripes on the upper part. The lampshade is made of meshed metal in an ecru color. It is adjustable from top to bottom. The designer's and brand's stamp are inscribed under the base of the stand. In good original condition.
