Description
Pierre Paulin’s Groovy armchair is a classic. Its soft and elegant line highlights its function while accentuating its comfort and aesthetics. Alone or in pairs, it brings a sculptural dimension in a refined decor, easily matching to all atmospheres.
As comfortable as it is functional, its compact size allows the Groovy to find its place both in a bedroom and in the living room. The Groovy is composed of a fully padded wide seat and backrest that provide good back support and are connected by aluminum pads.
In 1964 Pierre Paulin presented the F580 model, the first version of the current Groovy armchair. This model is one of the great achievements of the period from 1958 to 1968 and during which, inspired in particular by automotive technologies, Pierre Paulin used tubular structures covered with molded foam, covered with stretch textile to gain in lightness and solidity while allowing industrialization.
In the early 1970s, the Groovy armchair took its final form and was a great success until the end of the edition. Paulin, Paulin, Paulin, in parallel with its collection of rare or never published models, is now creating a new catalog dedicated to Pierre Paulin’s industrial icons
