The "Karate" model was designed by Michel Cadestin for the French manufacturing house Airborne in the 70's. This designer will be recognized for his avant-garde creations, including the furniture that he created for the Pompidou Center in 1976. He also began the research of using new materials such as molded plastic and latex foam. The Karate model is one of the designer's most iconic creations. It consists of an overall structure in white molded fiberglass. The seat is padded with foam and reupholstered in dark blue corduroy fabric.
