Description

Set of "Zig-Zag" wall shelves by Joëlle Ferlande François Monnet for Kappa/Uginox, 1970s.

Zig-Zag wall shelf by Joëlle Ferlande and François Monnet for Uginox, France, 1970s.

This set of Zig-Zag shelves in stainless steel was designed by Joëlle Ferlande in collaboration with François Monnet in the 1970s. A testament to the fusion of art and function, these wall-mounted shelves represent a rare benchmark in modernist design.
Produced in 1971 by Kappa/Uginox, this shelving suite is part of a prestigious range of stainless steel creations. Uginox, a French company specializing in this innovative material, collaborated with five designers, including François Monnet, to promote this furniture to the general public.

Each shelf in this suite consists of a stainless steel ribbon bent to a specific deployment, supported by two wall brackets. Clever perforations on the sides allow the elements to be joined together harmoniously.

In very good condition, wear consistent with age and use, wall fixings complete.
