Description
Terrazza Sofa "DS-1025" by Ubald Klug for the Swiss company De Sede. It was produced in 1973, which marked the beginning of Ubald Klug's career as an interior architect and designer. He proposed this project to the company, which accepted it under one condition: that it be made of leather. For this model, the designer drew inspiration directly from the mountainous reliefs of the Alps, shaped by the passage of cows in the region, forming long plateaus on different levels. This piece was initially disapproved by critics but managed to secure a place among design icons due to its unique design. It is still in production to this day.
Its structure consists of an assembly of 7 cushions padded with foam of varying widths and depths, upholstered in brown leather. The whole set is mounted on a rectangular plywood base. Both the leather and the structure are original.
In very good condition, with patina consistent with age and use.
