This desk lamp was designed in the 1980s and is reminiscent of the work of Yonel Lebovici. This French designer was known for his creations with abstract and organic forms, often stylized. He made innovative use of modern materials such as metal and acrylic (Plexiglas and Altuglas). His creations were characterized by perfect visual balance. This piece fits perfectly within the minimalist movement of the 1980s, with its modern aesthetics, geometric structure, the use of contemporary materials like acrylic and metal, and its post-modern approach to design.
The lamp consists of a spherical base made of solid steel and a transparent acrylic plate in a triangular shape. The uniqueness of this plate lies in its independent mobility, allowing for complete adjustment along the stem. This feature provides the possibility to orient the light as needed. At the top of the lamp, there is a sphere-shaped lampshade made of steel, lacquered in black on the outside and white on the inside.
